The Two Forms Of Flu Vaccines
The annual flu vaccine is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and up. Flu vaccines are dead or weak viruses that are introduced internally to a person so that the person’s body is able to produce anti-bodies against the virus so if it is ever introduced again, it will be able to fight it off. One form of the vaccine that is most commonly known is the “flu shot,” which consists of the killed virus and is injected into the blood stream with a needle. The second type is a nasal spray, which contains strains of the weakened, but live virus. Protect yourself with the flu vaccine by the time flu season comes!
